ServMan’s eDoc feature allows certain documents to be sent to a client by email. You can determine which contacts receive certain types of notifications; multiple contacts can receive the same type of notifications. Invoices, statements, and mobile orders can be sent via eDocs. Invoices and statements are self-explanatory, but mobile orders may need some explanation. Mobile orders are orders that have been processed using ServMan Mobile. When the order is sent from the mobile device to the ServMan application, an email with a PDF copy of the work order, including signatures, can be sent to the client.
Each user that will process e-Docs via email must have their user account configured properly for the desired email method. See Users File for instructions on adding or editing user settings.
You must designate which contacts receive eDocs and what type of eDocs each should receive.
To avoid the following Allow email popup in outlook - Don’t go through Outlook at all!
Change email setting in user file (Last tab) to use SMTP but then be sure to CC yourself on all eDocs as it will bypass Outlook and you won’t have a copy of the email that you sent for your records.
