Quote Creation on Android Mobile

ServMan provides a method for a technician using ServMan Mobile Android to create a quote from an existing work order. 

Follow these steps starting with the work order open on the screen:

Select:

·   Menu

·   Add/Edit Quotes from Order

·   New Quote From Order

Populate the quote with whatever items, flat rate tasks and notes that you wish.

If the customer accepts the quote on the spot:

Select:

·   Menu

·   Convert to Original Order

This will add the quote lines back into the original order.  When the order is set to a status that it leaves the device and the technician performs a Standard sync the quote will be uploaded in a converted status to the back office and will leave the Android device.

 

If the customer does not accept the quote on the spot:

The technician should set the status of the quote to QSUB.  This denotes that the quote has been submitted to the customer.  When the order is set to a status that it leaves the device, and the technician performs a Standard sync, the quote will be uploaded to the back office and will leave the Android device.

 

NOTE:  When a quote is created on an Android device, the sales rep on the quote is pulled from the default Sales Rep on the Client Record.  If you want the technician creating the quote to be the Sales Rep on the quote, it can be done through a custom business rule.  Please contact support to enable this.
