If a technician receives a “WEB SERVICE... invalid character” error then there is a problem with the work order on his device that he is trying to sync to your back office.
Please have your technician follow these steps:
1. In ServMan press the Menu button
2. Press Advanced Options
3. Press the Advanced Options check box
4. Press Ping Web Service
5. Write down the values on the screen
6. Have the tech call ServMan support at 704-821-4141 extension 2 and tell the person who answers the phone that he is getting an invalid character error when trying to sync.
7. Give the person on the phone the information from the Ping Web Service screen.
8. Tell them you will email the diagnostics file.
9. In ServMan press the Menu button
10. Press Advanced Options
11. Press the Advanced Options check box
12. Press Email Diagnostics to Support
NOTE: Do Not Email the Diagnostics file until you have contacted Support to ensure your file will be attached to the proper order.
