Client notes


In this exercise you will learn to add client notes.

  1. Open a client record.
  2. Click on the Notes tab at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Click on the Add button or right click in the middle of the screen and select Add
  4. Click on the Activity drop down list and select a reason for this note record.  This list may be modified by going to Master Files > Miscellaneous > Note Types Codes.
  5. Select a contact from the drop down list or type the name of a contact that is not on the list.  The contact list is populated from all contact records associated with the client record.
  6. Enter a phone number if you wish.
  7. In the large white box you may enter a message of any length to describe this note.
  8. If you want ServMan to display this note in a pop up window at a future date and time then click on the Alarm check box.  You should then enter the time and date for the pop up reminder.  Note: the user id in the upper right corner is the ServMan user that will receive the pop up reminder.
  9. Add some more notes to the same client record.  Notice that you can double click on any column heading to sort the notes in order by any of the columns
